Tom Matt
Tom Matt finds inspiration on a daily basis all around him along city streets and avenues and through the people he meets.
His art is representational with an emphasis on cityscapes of both NY and Paris, that includes portraiture. Each one allows for a unique and varying expression in style, concept and technique.
I work primarily on-site and from-life to establish a foundation for each piece of art, which allows me to embrace and incorporate the ambiance and energy of the city and subject.
The artist creates cityscape paintings on tempered masonite. He enjoys the chiseled quality and texture of palette knives. These works are available as commissioned and original artwork.
